Service-station of the future!
In a not-so-distant-future world where most are travelling the urban enclave on human-powered apparati, We will all be involved in maintaining the workings of the new bicycle culture. Our Community Bikes is a glimpse of that future.

Seriously though, the co-op design, the hands-on or hand-off options, the learning-centred approach (and the tough and greasy, hip and happenin regulars), make this a model business and an essential community resource.

Soory my bike continues to be really low maintenence, or I'd visit more often... don't fix what aint broke, right..? Next tune up and overhaul, I'll beseech the foss (ilospher) to tutor me again on the whole greasy procedure. - ROgr , posted 02/05/06

learn how to do it yourself
Our Community Bikes at Main and 17th is the best place in Vancouver to get help learning how to maintain and service your own bicycle. It is an educational non-profit or in a way an anarchosyndicalist collective. The mechanics are also tutors. There is always a female mechanic-tutor on duty for those who cannot learn machines from males. Get a membership: it includes lots of shop time. - , posted 01/19/06
