housing options in Victoria wanted

Am a former Victoria res that moved off the grid on one of the Gulf Islands for a bit, but now wanting to move back to Vic. My needs are simple and flexible, but money is tight. Live a mostly vegan life-style, am a professional chef, a non-smoker (but ok living with smokers who smoke outside). Am quiet, open-minded toward other peoples life-styles, bi-sexual, clean, and respectful. Any options looked at with appreciation. Any suggestions are a help. Any questions welcomed.
