Our house:
This place is an awesome huge bright 1/2 above ground basement suite. The room is available for March 1st. The room is furnished but can be unfurnished depending on what you have. It is a small room in an amazing area, with the beach, bus and shopping seconds away. We have a back yard with two apple trees and a magnolia. There is also in suite laundry and a bike storage area. The vibe of the house very conscious community, very clean with a huge living room shared space and a separate kitchen. It is east side values with west side access to the water. The house is non smoking, if you want to smoke you can smoke outside. Our house has compost and recycling and garden space.
Who we are:
We are independent outgoing people who enjoy good conversation, occasional dinner parties and good friends. I am a student, vege-aquarian (I eat vegetables and fish) who studies theatre/lit. I also run an open mic night, play music, sing and work with kids. My roomate is a full time teacher who plays ultimate and music. We both live a very active lifestyle and enjoy the outdoors. We are in and out of the house enough that usually everyone finds alone time. We are happy to share with someone who is similarly outgoing, but are not interested in couch potatoes. We have always had a very international feeling to the space with roommates from all over the world, so we are open to diverse cultures and lifestyles. Our dynamic is communal and not for people who like to spend all their time alone in their rooms. We like to share the space and be conscious of others feelings and check in about the house dynamic from time to time.
Who we'd like you to be:
We are looking for someone easy going, creative and an excellent communicator. We are not looking for a vegetarian but someone who respects the lifestyle choice and can be considerate about not leaving slabs of bleeding animals around the house. However feel free to cook steak and anything else you like. If you have a partner, we are only looking for one roommate and would appreciate not having your partner live here full time unless we discuss rent splitting. We love intentional, awesome people if this feels like you please phone.
