Our amazing room mate is leaving us to pursue his dreams and life path so we are looking for another amazing open individual to become a Farmhouse Animal!!!
The Farmhouse is located in South Vancouver at Main and 56th. This is not the house for lazy East Vandals that can't live without coffee shops, Commercial Drive gossip and vapour lounges!
However, this is the house for:
Vegan/Veg./Carne Hybrids who want to live on an emerging Urban Farm. This is the whole house with views of Vancouver Island, the San Juans and sunsets. We have 2 bathrooms, two kitchens (one veg, one non-veg) two full size fridges and stoves too. Studio/Garage space for creative projects, off street parking, fenced backyard with trees, common areas and guest area for the inevitable traveler. Free washer and dryer. Bus lines include #3 Downtown, #8 Downtown, #49 UBC, #41 UBC, #100 Airport. (outside cig. smoking please!) Green Friendly otherwise. Two vegetarian restaurants, a produce market, and bike repair shop two blocks, and 24 hr bakery with Wi-Fi 6 blocks (has Fair Trade coffee too). This is the perfect place for students who hate but attend UBC, cyclists and people who like to be located in the center of Vancouver, but like the roomyness (and the price) of the South. Travelers are always welcome and we are 10min Drive, 30min bus ride or $20 cab ride from the air port. Good dogs that are house broken and are friendly are welcome, but sorry no cats. The landlords are also totally cool and fix things when broken. Otherwise they never bother us. Utilities are internet, hydro, phone, and Teresen. Also our phone has unlimited long distance to US and Canada so you can finally call your best friend and talk about how rad Vancouver is forever and a day! $200 dollar deposit and no deposit for the pooch.

Right now our token male is leaving after more than two years with us three ladies. We are a mix of students and workers, who are Freegan, Vegan, Veg. and Carne. We love to cook all the time, garden, Chong, travel, chillax and bitch about how much we hate UBC (2 of us go there but are done quite soon!!). We are generally driven by the non-profit, social justice paradigm and in short we care a whole lot about everything. We are gender and sexual orientation friendly, and love people who can engage in the discursive traditions of Feminist theory (that was a joke that only wierdo feminists get). We are also super Sci-Fi geeks too! We are artists, musicians, theorists and dorky chics that love the world and you as well.
