Opening to Embodied Love
Tantric and Somatic Approaches
A Series of 4 evening classes
Starting Monday Mar 17, 2008
in Kitsilano - near 12th and Arbutus, in Vancouver
What unexamined or hidden patterns do we hold that keep us from being fully in the present moment, savouring the inherent sensuality of our bodies, from which love naturally arises? How do we create new patterns that offer the possibility of fulfilling spiritual connection, not by transcending the body, but by truly being in it?
This class will be a embodied exploration of these questions using both ancient tantric and emerging somatic practices.
Students will especially explore their pelvis and abdomen through anatomy lessons, guided meditation, movement, self-touch, visualizations and breathing practices. Students will gain a new self-awareness and appreciation of this part of themselves. Students will also learn practices which lead to a healthy and appropriate freedom to feel pleasure and sexual energy which can be channelled into love and creative expression.
Note: There will be no nudity or sexual activity in this class.
Tuition: $95 if registered before Mar 10, $125 if registered after Mar 10. Tuition is for all 4 classes. Pre-registration is required.
Dates and Times: 700pm-930pm on Monday Mar 17, Mar 31, April 7 and April 14. (This class will also be presented Mon Apr 21, Apr 28, May 5 and May 12)
