Andrea Goldsmith's Mom has died~

i just recieved an email from Andrea that her Mom passed away after a courageous struggle with cancer on Thursday April 17th. this is written from andrea: It was a bit rough at the end but we were all here with her and she was at home. My aunt had planned on coming in from Florida on Thursday and she showed up at the house from the airport less than 10 minutes before my mother died. They didn't come to get her body right away because it was a Jewish holiday until sundown, so we sat with her on the bed for the next few hours. She just looked like she was asleep and finally resting peacefully. I remembered there were some Jewish prayers you're supposed to say when a person is dying so I looked on the internet to find them and sang and read her a few things and then my whole family sang her her favorite passover song. It's all very sad but it's good that she's finally not suffering anymore. **************************** Over 1000 people attended her funeral as a testamount to her belovedness... There are 7 days of collective mourning which Andrea is attending to, each morning praying. After which she may stay for a bit to attend to her mother's things... BIOGRAPHIE : SPACE TRIBE.........Olli Wisdom, Originally from England, now living in the Rainforest near Byron Bay, Australia, has been a pioneer of Psychedelic Trance for many years. In the early 80s Olli was the singer in the theatrical Goth/Glam band "The Specimen", & ran the famous London goth club “ The Batcave “. After the band split up in 1986 Olli went traveling in Asia and in 1988 came to Koh Phangan in Thailand where he first encountered the fantastic electro-driven wild psychedelic parties on the beach. Instantly hooked, he immersed himself into the music and has never looked back. He stayed there for 2 years, DJing, and set up a small studio and making tracks for the parties, before moving to Goa, India. Over the next 4 years, Olli spent his time mostly in Goa, but now starting to travel around making parties in other places (San Francisco, Switzerland, UK, Japan), spreading the word and turning people on. In 1993, Olli, his brother Miki, and Richmond started Space Tribe clothing in Bali. The fractal fluoro party gear was an instant success, and now you can see it at parties all over the planet. In 1995, the first Space Tribe tracks were hatched in the studio with Simon Posford (Hallucinogen/Sphongle), and everything flowed from there. Galactik Trading Card Vehicle Update From the Elphinstone rainforest heartlands comes a revitalized Fantastic Art Card Oracle Set. The website has been enhanced, upgraded and evolved thanks to Lunaya and Starseed Design (www.starseeddesign.ca). The project now features over 80 artists from 27 countries. I'm in the process of organizing a Share Stuff Collective. We all own things that we rarely use. We all occasionally need things we don't want to buy because we know we will only use it once. The Share Stuff Collective is a library of stuff we all own and are willing to lend to other members of the collective. For example, I have a steam cleaner, a power drill with wood working attachments, specality baking items, a clothing steamer (great for making fake dreads), suit case, air mattress.... Well, you get the point. How it will work is that each member would submit a list of things to be posted on the website. Owner/Contact information would be known to myself and those who volunteer to help with the administration part of the collective. Requests for items would be arranged by the administrator. There would be a small membership fee - this pool of funds to be kept as an insurance policy for replacing the occasional damaged or distroyed item. This would eliminate the personal risk to individual members. Mishaps happen, and members would not be penalized for damage. I had been thinking of a $20 membership fee - with a sliding scale for low income and student members. The membership fee is not meant to keep people from joining, but rather to make sure there are enough funds available to cover the cost of occasional replacement/repair of shared items. This is important if we are to be able to include expensive equipment in our Share Stuff Collective.
